In 1928, the three impressive buildings on Strijp-S known as the Hoge Rug rose at a tremendous pace: Anton, Gerard and the Apparatus Factory. Building Gerard became service as a factory building in the Philips era, but was transformed in 2013 by housing corporation Trudo into a special place to live, work and shop.

In 1928, the three impressive buildings on Strijp-S known as the Hoge Rug rose at a tremendous pace: Anton, Gerard and the Apparatus Factory. Building Gerard became service in the Philips era as a factory building, but was transformed in 2013 by housing corporation Trudo into a special place to live, work and shop. The building houses some 135 lofts. The ground floor of the building is set up as commercial space. Here you will find various shops and restaurants. Coenen Sättele / Jo Coenen are the architects responsible for the redevelopment of Gerard.
