When it was founded some 45 years ago, Café Loetje was intended to become a successful billiards pub. Then Ludwig ‘Loetje’ Klinkhamer made a fortunate mistake by putting his tenderloin steak on the menu. Soon the place was full of lovers of the tastiest steak who wondered why that billiard table was there in the way.

To say that nowadays everyone knows Loetje is an exaggeration, but we are doing quite well! With more and more cosy restaurants serving the tastiest steak, not only in Amsterdam but also far beyond. But also with (event) rooms and facilities for parties, meetings and other gatherings. We even have a fine and atmospheric hotel.
