A fresh boost for Strijp-S: The “Tribune”

In the coming years, Strijp-S will welcome a striking new building. While Trudo’s Matchbox project is set for completion in November 2025, construction of the nearby Tribune is already in full swing. Alderman Stijn Steenbakkers and project partners recently celebrated the progress of this valuable addition to Eindhoven’s housing stock.

56 sustainable apartments on a green terrace structure
Tribune will be a stepped building with a distinctive wooden appearance. The ground floor and first floor will offer space for entrepreneurs and other commercial functions. Above these, 56 apartments will be built, including 44 social rental homes and 12 mid-range rental apartments. All homes will have their own balcony or rooftop terrace overlooking Ketelhuisplein.

Green character and new lookout point
The design strongly focuses on greening: terraces and façade edges will be fitted with planters, trees, shrubs, and sedum. The exterior stairways serve as emergency exits for residents and are not publicly accessible.
A special feature of the plan is the new lookout point on Leidingstraat, which will soon offer an additional perspective over Ketelhuisplein.
