Dutch Design Week 2025 celebrates 25 years of innovation with Strijp-S at its creative core

Ketelhuisplein

From 18 to 26 October, Eindhoven once again becomes the stage for Dutch Design Week (DDW). The 25th edition of Northern Europe’s largest design event will be officially opened by Queen Máxima and promises to be a special anniversary celebration. With the theme Past. Present. Possible., DDW reflects on a quarter-century of design while looking ahead to the future of innovation, sustainability, and collaboration.

This anniversary edition brings together more than 2,600 designers across the city. From renowned names to emerging talents, DDW showcases how design can offer solutions to social challenges and shape new ways of living.

Strijp-S once again serves as one of the main hubs. The former Philips industrial site will be alive with installations, exhibitions, and experiments that connect technology, design, and imagination. Visitors can explore conceptual work, circular materials, and forward-looking urban innovations.

The creative energy doesn’t stop at sunset. Each evening, Eindhoven transforms into a playground of music, performances, and celebrations, with Strijp-S at the heart of it all. Across the city, unexpected collaborations emerge between designers, artists, and audiences.

Marking 25 years of ideas and imagination, Dutch Design Week 2025 is a tribute to creativity and to Eindhoven’s role as the design capital of the Netherlands.
