Hosting an event or exhibition during DDW25? Matchbox welcomes you!

During Dutch Design Week 2025 (October 18–26), Trudo opens the doors of Matchbox: the first building at Strijp-S made almost entirely of biobased materials. Construction will pause for one week, giving visitors the unique chance to explore this pioneering example of timber architecture – nearly completed by then!

About Matchbox
Matchbox represents architecture that gives more than it takes. For Trudo, it marks an important step towards circular, nature-inclusive building. Together with partners, we will showcase what makes Matchbox so special during DDW.

Welcome to the world of Life-Centred Design
Matchbox will also host a range of inspiring exhibitions during DDW, presented by Springplank, Máxima MC and Fontys University of Applied Sciences. The central theme is Life-Centred Design: an approach in which not only humans, but all forms of life are considered. The exhibitions highlight how architecture and design can contribute to a future where people, nature, and the environment coexist in balance.
